Eligibility Criteria
Qualification

1.  Judicial Assistant

  • Must be a Graduate from a recognized University.

2.  Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) – Work From Home

  • Must have passed Class VIII.
  • Candidates who have passed HSSLC (12th) or above are NOT eligible.

3.  Chauffeur (Driver)

  • Must have passed Class X (HSLC) from a recognized Board.

4.  Computer Assistant

  • Must have 6-month diploma/certificate in Computer Operation/Application.
  • Training required in: Data entry & DTP  /  Basic hardware maintenance / Installation of printers, scanners / LAN setup & configuration / Utilities, application software / Web designing & web-based applications

Salary / Stipend (By Point)

1.  Judicial Assistant

  • Pay Band: PB-2, ₹14,000–70,000
  • Grade Pay: ₹8,700
  • Other allowances as per rules

2.  Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)

  • Pay Band: PB-2, ₹12,000–52,000
  • Grade Pay: ₹3,900
  • Other allowances applicable

3.  Chauffeur (Driver)

  • Pay Band: PB-2, ₹14,000–70,000
  • Grade Pay: ₹5,200
  • Allowances as per rules

4.  Computer Assistant

  • Pay Band: PB-2, ₹14,000–70,000
  • Grade Pay: ₹6,200
  • Other allowances as per norms

Age Limit (as on 26.01.2026)

  • Minimum Age: Not specified
  • Maximum (UR): 40 years
  • OBC/MOBC: 43 years
  • SC/ST: 45 years
  • PwBD: 50 years

Application Fee

  • UR / OBC / MOBC: ₹500/-
  • SC / ST: ₹250/-

Selection Process

1.  Written Exam – 120 Marks

  • MCQ, 2 hours, OMR based
  • Subjects: English, GK, Aptitude, Reasoning, Assamese (20 marks)

2.  Assamese Language Test

  • Qualifying only
  • Need 8 out of 20 (40%)
  • Marks not added to merit

3.  Negative Marking

  • –0.25 for each wrong answer

4.  Interview / Viva – 20 Marks

  • Called in 1:3 ratio
  • Need 12/20 (60%) to qualify

5.  Final Selection

  • Written Exam + Interview
  • Tie: higher written marks → if same, older age
  • Court may change cut-off marks

15. Reservation Certificates: Must be from proper authority

16. Canvassing: Any influence → rejection

17. Court Rights: Can cancel or modify advertisement anytime

18. Answer Key: Will be uploaded after exam

19. Exam Material: Destroyed as per SOP (26.06.2025)

20. Final Note : Any issue not mentioned will be decided by the High Court
