SLPRB Assam has released recruitment notifications on 5 and 12 December 2025 to fill 2,350 vacancies across Assam Police and allied departments. Online applications are open from 16 December 2025 to 16 January 2026. Selection includes PST, PET, written test, medical examination, and viva-voce.

3. Physical Standards

• Height:

o  General/OBC/MOBC/SC male: 162.5 cm, female: 154 cm

o  ST(P)/ST(H) male: 160 cm, female: 152 cm

• Chest (men only):

o  General/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P): 80 cm with 5 cm expansion

o  ST(H): 78 cm with 5 cm expansion

4. Medical Standards

• Good mental and bodily health, free from deformities or serious diseases (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, hernia, knock-knee, flat foot)
• Not colour blind or squint-eyed
• Eyesight: Distance vision 6/6 (one eye) & not poorer than 6/9 (other eye), near vision normal
• Varicose vein: temporary disqualification

5. Selection Process

1. Preliminary verification: Identity and biometric verification

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST):

o  UB male & female, AB female: 40 marks

o  AB male: 60 marks

o  PET for men: 3200m race (20), long jump ≥335 cm (20), chin-ups ≥4 (AB male, 20)

o  PET for women: 1600m race (20), long jump ≥244 cm (20)

3. Written Test: 100 MCQs, total 50 marks, covering:

o  Elementary Arithmetic, General English, Logical reasoning/Mental ability

o  Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy

o  General Awareness/Current Affairs (Class IX & X level)

o  0.5 mark per correct answer, no negative marking

4.  Oral/Viva-Voce: Max 5 marks, called at 2× vacancies based on merit

5.   Academic Weightage (UB only): Max 5 marks

o  45–59.99% → 2 marks

o  60–74.99% → 3 marks

o  75%+ → 5 marks

How to Apply ?

Registration:

o    Register only once on the official portal.

o    Multiple registrations with different mobile numbers will cancel candidature.

o    Enter exact name as per HSLC certificate, parents’ names, valid mobile number, Aadhaar, date of birth, gender, caste, district, highest qualification, Employment Exchange number.

o    Application ID will be generated – keep it safe.

Login and Application:

o    Login using Application ID or registered mobile number + date of birth.

o    Apply for the relevant advertisement.

o    Select post preference (if applicable), fill personal & academic details.

o    Upload photograph, signature, and required certificates.

o    Generate OTP and download Acknowledgement Slip.

o    Latest passport-size photograph

o    Signature (black/dark blue ink on white paper)

o    Proof of age certificate

o    HSLC/Class X pass certificate & mark sheet
