Multiplying Decimals – Count the Places

Ex: 0.3 × 0.04

1st: Ignore the decimals and multiply as whole numbers. (প্ৰথমে: দশমিক বিন্দুবোৰ উপেক্ষা কৰি পূৰ্ণসংখ্যা হিচাপে গুণ কৰা।)

3 × 4 = 12

2nd: Count the total decimal places in the numbers you multiplied. (দ্বিতীয়তে: গুণ কৰা সংখ্যাবোৰত মুঠ দশমিক স্থান গণনা কৰা।)

0.3 → 1 decimal place
0.04 → 2 decimal places

Total = 1 + 2 = 3 decimal places

3rd: Place the decimal in the product so that it has 3 decimal places.
তৃতীয়তে: গুণফলত 3 টা দশমিক স্থান থাকিবলৈ দশমিক বিন্দু বহুওৱা।

12 → 0.012

Ans / উত্তৰ = 0.012
